In this, our 104th offering, we take a look at the plague of Hollywood movies based off things you would normally think would not be good things to make movies off of.
That whole Candyland movie thing starring Adam Sandler mentioned in the comic? That is one-hundred percent true.
Seriously.
I guess the producers who greenlit the Battleship movie (yes, based off the board game) thought that having a movie based off another board game was a great idea.
Yes, I know Hollywood is out of ideas and I shouldn’t expect too much from them, but still…
What’s next, a Boggle movie, or Kerplunk, or Scrabble? Oh wait; someone did a documentary on professional Scrabble players already (which, to be fair was kind of interesting, but then again, I watched a documentary on Helvetica – twice, so my taste in movies might be suspect).
