“A Viable Explanation”

Cats are strange creatures which science has not found a suitable explanation for their behavior.  We offer an explanation for their weirdness in today’s comic offering.  From what I’ve been told, this is pretty close to what actually happens (well, it must be true; I read it on the internet).

I have dealt with my fair share of cats. One minute they scamper back and forth on the kitchen floor (this is known as “kitty derby”), and the next minute they are licking your toes for reasons that defy logic.  I do enjoy the company of cats, but even I wonder what is going through their head (besides air).

Cats are weird.

I actually prefer dogs over cats although I’m fairly partial to anything that is cute and fuzzy.  I’m all about the cute.

I’m not sure how this comic became a thing.

For some reason during the creative process, Edward James Olmos came to mind out of the blue.  I am not sure there was some sort of need to include him in a webcomic thinking that the man has been somehow unrepresented through this medium.

I wasn’t even really thinking about the man.  The last thing I saw him in was the Blade Runner: Ultimate Super-Secret Ridley Scott Director’s Cut and We Really Mean It This Time Limited DVD Box Set Edition.  I guess out of all the known actors out there in the world, I didn’t have to go to the IMDB to think of films and shows he’s been in to prepare for writing the comic.

The Bill Paxton part was a different story, but only because I kept getting him confused with Bill Pullman.

I’m sure there is some sort of elaborate Paxton/Pullman conspiracy out there.  I don’t know about you, but I have never seen them both in the same place.  I’m just sayin’.
